Dishwasher Responsibilities:
- Support lead chef in building and maintaining a physically and emotionally safe environment for campers and staff
- Wash dishes and take garbage out
- Sweep and mop floors daily
- Execute and maintain cleanliness standards as prescribed by head office
- Follow and execute daily prep requirements as defined by the lead chef
- Monitor and help execute the cooking processes of daily recipes
- Help define and reinforce camp rules and expectations
- Support camp counsellor with break time activities, games and exercises as outlined in the camp counselor manual
- Help supervise and support campers to ensure their safety and accurate execution of the recipes on hand
- Build authentic relationships with campers and their families
Necessary Experience and Skills:
- 1+ years experience in the culinary industry
- Organized, detail oriented and punctual
- Passionate and enthusiastic about working with children
- Proactive, reliable and safety conscious
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
- Ability to stand for 6 - 8 hours and lift at least 20 lbs
